Bumper Crop of Pumpkins in Central New York

This year has been a really great year for a lot of produce in Central New York.  Not only have most things come in better than expected but a lot of stuff is weeks earlier than they are traditionally.  Pumpkins have been very good this year.  All over Central New York, I am finding small and large farm stands with tons of pumpkins for sale.  It has been great seeing them all around the area, and the pumpkins certainly add a nice splash of early fall color.

This display of pumpkins was at Reakes Country Goods up in Truxton, NY.  I was out soon are sunrise on an unfortunately cloudy day.  But in this case I think the cloudiness helped the image as there was not a lot of extra contrast between the highlights and shadows, just nice smooth early morning light.

Thanks for stopping by.

A simple but great shot. The light is nice and soft.
